Clinical Research Manager - Industry

Full-Time

Summary:

This position compliments and supports external collaborations including but not limited to thematic area, industry, and pharmaceutical studies. The Research Manager facilitates multiple communication activities (oral, written, and computerized) between health care providers, external partners, patients, and key personnel. The Research Manager will be responsible for the management of all administrative responsibilities associated with day-to-day study activities to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the synchronization and management of research and administrative activities in the department under the direction of the Research Director

  • Provides key structure for Research Assistants participating in industry/pharmaceutical studies as well as thematic areas collaborations, including but not limited to, the development of standard operating procedures, Clinical Research Forms, and structured FTE supervision

  • Ensures that outcome and program data are accurately tracked, processed, and reported to meet contractual obligations related to funding entities. Manages and coordinates data requests from internal and external stakeholders as well as maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Supervises Research Assistants (RAs) in the thematic area, which includes providing feedback and work direction, tracking attendance and evaluating performance, recruiting and hiring, delegating work, encouraging and fostering professional development.

  • The Research Manager will be the liaison between the key personnel to execute contracts, budgets, external vendors, and the IRB as well as execute needed patient renumeration and reporting of expense reports to study lead/director.

  • The Research Manager will be responsible for submitting all visits required for study milestones (e.g start-up/initiation, quality & audit trails, and close-out procedures).

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • ACRP or CCRP Certification is a plus

    Experience:

  • 3-5 years of academic hospital or Industry experiences

  • Previously worked with industry sponsored/funded studies (specifically independent execution of study start up to close out)

  • Previous management experience

  • Strong project management, organization, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet required deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and Good Technology Practice

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access)

  • Working knowledge of data base systems (e.g. Electronic Health Record system, REDCap, CTMS, etc), data base management, and data visualization

  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment with changing priorities by being flexible, collaborative, responsive, and adaptable.

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $78,000.00/Yr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $90,000.00/Yr.
