Benchmark Product Manager

We are looking for a Benchmark Product Manager to join our team and take responsibility for a new private credit benchmarking product. This is a ground floor opportunity to drive the direction of the benchmarks themselves and their supporting software capabilities, in order to meet the needs of our clients and our business.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the benchmark production team to develop new benchmarks and refine existing benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand needs and develop products to meet those needs.
  • Support the sales team and clients in their use and understanding of these benchmarks.
  • Identify and work with the benchmark production team to implement enhancements and innovations to the benchmarks and supporting software.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance and usage of the benchmarks, and solicit feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify and prioritize product improvements and new features.
  • Communicate and present the value proposition and benefits of the benchmarks to internal and external audiences, such as senior management, clients, media, and industry events.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the financial markets, especially in the company loans and bonds sector, and the financial benchmark industry.

Essential traits:
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, index management, or a similar role in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of company loans and bonds as an asset class, and the data and technology involved in their valuation and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial market benchmarks, their methodologies, calculation, and governance.
  • Experience with private capital markets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative, with a passion for creating and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations.

Salary range is $125, 000 - $250, 000 USD.
