Overview

The Associate Director, Advisement & Student Services will provide counseling, advisement and student services to Wagner students to ensure their success in enrolled degree programs. They will manage and oversee all academic, administrative, and program services operations of selected academic programs. The position will collaborate with associate dean, assistant dean, senior director, and faculty directors to develop short- and long-term goals for the academic programs and services provided to the students. The position will help develop and implement academic program policies and processes to support the success of students and ensure adherence to University guidelines. The position will manage program-wide initiatives and events. They will develop and manage program budgets and supervise program staff. The position will develop and cultivate effective relationships with University and School constituencies and outside contacts to help achieve program objectives. They will manage the flow of student issues and concerns, develop best practices, and provide solutions to address both routine and complex concerns. They will also partner with the associate dean and senior director on activities related to the recruitment, admission, enrollment, orientation, and retention of students.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years relevant professional-level experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience in student advisement, student services and/or program development.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years of experience in staff management, project management or event planning

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and relationship management skills. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Must demonstrate excellent leadership, analytic, and organizational skills. Knowledge of standard office software. Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays required.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ideally, candidate should work well in teams and exhibit high productivity.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
