Position Summary

Responsible for actively engaging with students to foster positive relationships within the NYU community. Leading and supporting initiatives for proactive student connections, addressing concerns, and creating programs promoting a supportive environment. Responsibilities include providing leadership for university-wide belonging initiatives, supporting student activism, collaborating on assessment and strategy development, contributing to divisional and institutional service, taking a central role in critical incident response, and supervising key team members in Parent and Family Programs and Basic Needs.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Student Affairs Administration, Counseling, or Higher Education.Preferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:7+ years of years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience student affairs, developing programs in a higher education setting, and community development. Experience in enrollment management, communications, alumni relations, student activities, orientation, and/or academic advising is highly desired.Preferred Experience:10+ yearsRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent listening, written, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to offer exceptional client service and problem solve in a cooperative capacity. Professionalism and diplomacy skills are essential. Effective cultural competence and interpersonal skills surrounding inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $145,000.00 to USD $155,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.NYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by 2040.
