Description
Robert Half is searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for an admired organization. The Accounting Clerk will primarily be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Job Description:
Perform daily/monthly monitoring and reconciliations and month-end book closing and prepare various financial statements and reports including quarterly reports to Head Office. Respond to requests and inquiries from other departments/units, Head Office, and auditors and establish necessary operations to comply with the requirements. Perform researches on accounting standards and accounting treatment of existing/new products and transactions. Provide support to other members of the Unit, especially covering team member’s tasks during their PTO.

Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Report financial facts to journals and ledgers
Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting or equivalent preferred, but not required
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
BS/BA in Accounting, finance or related field preferred
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Practical knowledge of Monitoring Tool
Workstation Support experience
Wide ranging experience with closing
Proven knowledge of Quarterly
Strong familiarity with finance
Reconciliations experience
Well-founded grasp of Financial Statement
Reporting experience desired
Operations experience
General familiarity with Payroll Functions
Good understanding of Accounting Functions
Quality experience with Research Analysis
Earlier work involving Onsite
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
