Snap Inc. Product Manager in New York City, New York

Partner with Snap Engineering teams to design and architect new Map features that grow Map engagement. Work with Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, Sales, etc. to build, test, and ship products. Solve technical barriers for Always-on Location, invent algorithms and machine-learning approaches that can update a person’s location while minimizing battery drain. Improve Location reliability and ensure correct privacy by working with engineers at Apple (Core Location API) and Snap. Create better handling of push notifications on iOS, and ensure no privacy leaks. Create engineering roadmap, by coming up with high impact projects and prioritizing by allocating engineers accordingly. Manage new features from conception, to building and iterating with engineering, to AB testing results and debugging any issues. Prototype new features by working with the Snap Design Engineering team. Identify and prioritize new ways to measure causal impact across Snap’s ad stack. Integrate quantitative and qualitative information into product requirements. Define and analyze metrics that inform product strategy and prioritization. Collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, and user researchers to understand patterns and trends and identify new opportunities for growth. Drive Tier 1 metrics - Quality Map DAU and Sessions. Utilize computer science and software engineering knowledge to bring concepts to life and successful coordinate with other engineers and stakeholders. Required education/experience: Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, or other related quantitative field plus one (1) year of experience in product management or similar technical product development positions. Required skills: Knowledge and/or experience in: Product management experience. Knowledge of product-oriented quantitative analysis, including statistical analysis methods. Experience with A/B testing. Experience with product design, software development, or interaction design. Experience leading, building, and shipping products at a consumer technology company. Hands on experience across the entire product lifecycle including: defining product needs, prioritization, pre/post-launch execution. Experience building and applying Machine Learning technologies to large scale problems. Programming languages: SQL and/or Python.Knowledge/experience means knowledge/experience sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.**OTHER: Job Site: Snap Inc., 229 West 43rd Street, New York City, NY 10036. *Hybrid work permitted - Snap practices a “default together” approach and expects our team members to work in the New York City, NY office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week; $168,000 - $252,000 per year.
