This technology enables mobile, long-range connectivity without cell, wifi, or satellite connectivity. goTenna's drive to create resilient connectivity began during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, when approximately a third of cell towers and power stations in affected areas failed. goTenna's products are currently used by over 300 law enforcement, military, and public safety agencies worldwide. goTenna is backed by investors, including Union Square Ventures, Founders Fund, Lockheed Martin Ventures, Comcast Ventures, MentorTech Ventures, Walden Venture Capital, and ONE9.About the Role:The Proposal Manager will have the responsibility of leading, coordinating, managing, and facilitating all phases of the company’s research and proposal process for U.S. Government SBIRs, Government grants, and proposals such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and an ability to work with cross functional teams to coordinate proposal responses are key to success in this role. The candidate should have some level of technical or mission background to effectively engage with customers as well as other goTenna employees with the goal of pursuing strategic opportunities. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to think strategically about goTenna’s mission and products with the ability to convey a compelling value proposition for customers. Primary Responsibilities:Establishes proposal response team infrastructure, including meeting cadences and response milestones, to ensure deliverables progress, teams remain informed, issues or risks are surfaced, and managing responses to timely completion.Presents proposal reviews to management, incorporates feedback, and serves as a team leader to coordinate numerous major proposal efforts at the same time.Ensures all proposals follow company proposal best practices and meet compliance including but not limited to (FAR) guidance, USG solicitations, portal accounts etc.Proactively identifies relevant RFI and RFP opportunities for which goTenna products and solutions both meet customer needs and are aligned to goTenna’s strategic business objectives.Develops and maintains a deep competence of goTenna products and capabilities in order to independently draft technical content for RFPs, RFIs, white papers, and other materials with minimal oversight or technical correction.Reviews requirements and recommends response strategy. Review government issued SBIRs, STTRs, grant sites, etc. to find and recommend opportunities that align Customer needs and goTenna’s strategic roadmap. Produces written materials that can be tailored to effectively communicate to technical (i.e., government subject matter experts or highly trained end-users) or non-technical (i.e., command staff or non-technical end users) audiences.Coordinates proposal efforts with primes or subs, when relevant, including major defense primes with complex processes and procedures.Required Experience: A minimum of a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university.2+ year of experience leading Government proposal efforts.A working knowledge of Government and military contracts, GSA, and FAR is required.The skill to independently define, schedule, and manage the proposal preparation process, including the ability to understand and analyze the details of an RFP, SBIR, or STTR.Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Preferred Experience:Advanced degree in communications, networking, cybersecurity, defense, or related fields.Understanding of communications technologies, networking protocols, or adjacent fields.Uniformed, civilian, contractor experience or equivalent working in the Defense, National Security, or Intelligence spaceExperience working with prime contractors in either a prime or sub relationship on complex RFPs ITAR: U.S. Citizen or Green Card RequiredPlacement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications.goTenna is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
