Chobani HTST Operator - Grade 6 - D Shift - 6:00PM - 6:30AM, Every Other Weekend Required (New Berlin, NY) in New Berlin, New York

Summary

The HTST Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and sanitizing HTST equipment to ensure proper sterilization and processing of the yogurt. Responsibilities

Verify that the HTST set-up person injects the starter into the batch at the proper time Using the same process as the milk, heat-treat cream through another HTST; setting up proper pipes and connections Wash equipment, while checking titrations for caustic and acid levels, to ensure correct chemicals for wash Fill processing hot tanks through the HTST with water; ensure water recycling is working properly When the system is sanitized, enter milk source on the computer and activate the transfer of milk to the hot processing tanks When all water dissipates, activate the batch tank; monitoring to ensure the milk pushes remaining water into drain and the milk goes into batch tank Ensure the batch tank is at the proper temperature and that proper temperatures are maintained Take batch samples so the lab can check for bacteria, PH and solidity of the sample; record on paperwork Once agitator tank is off, seal until it is ready to be used again Check for leaks and replace gaskets if required Complete other tasks as assigned Follow Chobani safety procedures Follow Good Manufacturing Practices

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in a production environment
