This position is responsible for the safe, efficient production of refiner plates. Also accountable for the quality and timeliness of product through the supervision of 8-30 hourly employees. Maintains records to support the above responsibilities.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years manufacturing experience
  • Participate in and provide leadership to employees in support of the safety processes
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain good employee morale
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, vision, and procedures
  • Direct and supervise production activities including preparation for next shift
  • Maintain work area in accordance with 5S requirements and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Conduct and document new employee training, cross training, performance coaching, and reviews
  • Assist with annual goals and objectives
  • Meet or exceed product quality and on-time delivery standards
  • Develop and maintain records and reports within area of responsibility
  • Prepare maintenance work requests, coordinating with maintenance department
  • Complete all qualifications and trainings as required
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, initiate purchase requisitions as required
  • Participate in activities to improve safety, quality, lead times, and costs
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics
  • Ability to read, comprehend, communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • Ability to work any shift/schedule, as required
