Siemens Energy Seasonal Field Engineer in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania
A Snapshot of your day:
The Seasonal Field Engineer is a challenging role which has the responsibility of indirectly managing internal and external resources to support outage demands. In this role you will be Supervising the technicians (Welders, Fitters, and Leads) in the execution of Piping and Auxiliary related work scopes across CT’s, Steam and Nuclear Siemens-Energy Power Plants.
Seasonal Work Schedule: Work mainly during high outage times (Spring and Fall). You are guaranteed a set amount of yearly hours depending on which tier you choose. You are still eligible for benefits, PTO and more
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Responsible for Safety, Quality and Schedule in that order for the crew, work scope, and customer interactions
Work with back-office Project engineers with preplanning, document review, lessons learned, and tooling orders for completion of onsite work scopes.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of Power Plant Piping, valves, oil systems, and Auxiliary capabilities.
Knowledge of Welding / Fitting and Piping FME is required.
What You Bring:
BS in related discipline preferred or high school diploma/GED equivalent experience is required
5+ years of generation service is required – Leading a crew in Field Outage work is a plus. (Candidates with more experience will be considered at a higher level.)
Strong Communication Skills
Ability to travel 75% during peak season
Must be efficient with outlook, Word, Excel
P&ID, Ability to read / interpret drawings is a plus
