Description

Highly organized individual who possesses the ability to assist with the organization of the program in relation to the faculty and student needs. Ability to assist with professional accreditation reporting and follow directions from the program director. Oversees and assists with record keeping, adjunct faculty, as well as all clerical duties for the paramedic science program. Actively participates in directing students as to the materials necessary to complete their portfolios and assisting faculty whenever necessary. Resourceful contact for student and faculty inquiries. Respond to, screen and manage telephone messages and requests regarding program information and operations, to appropriate personnel. Provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. This person is the first person of contact for the department and an exceptional attitude and pleasant mannerism is essential.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish, attest to, and monitor student compliance categories to meet all health science, clinical affiliate, state, and national accreditation standards.

  • Performs all aspects of admission and screening processes specific to paramedic science program candidates.

  • Handles all marketing revisions, outreach materials, program handbooks for EMT and paramedic programs.

  • Assists with accreditation and yearly report writing for program CAAHEP and CoAEMSP standards ie: administer and collect all data necessary for annual reporting.

  • Assist in formal communication to students and faculty as needed.

  • Facilitates all program meetings to meet program and academic needs.

  • Create, manage, and monitor all student portfolios.

  • Track and monitor all faculty and student licensing and certifications to meet compliance requirements.

  • Maintain program spreadsheets with information related to admission, student progression and completion, and program completion.

  • Monitor all email communication from prospective students and outside agencies.

  • Schedule and conduct portions of orientation for incoming cohorts in Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Communicate all program needs including scheduling, event preparation, and reservation requests with appropriate campus-wide departments and scheduling systems, ie: 25Live.

  • Ordering of all office supplies, reviewing requests with program director, to ensure fiscal responsibility while meeting program and student needs and objectives.

  • Coordinate and assist in annual program events.

  • Prepare Advisory Board meeting minutes and communicate with all board members throughout the year up to and including participation in each meeting on biannual basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Required:

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to accurately type records and forms

  • Ability to understand accreditation standards and assist with documentation

  • Highly organized

  • Excellent people skills

  • Preparation in online applications and computer skills training for Microsoft applications and spreadsheets.

  • Able to learn new computer programs quickly and explain programs to others.

Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
