Richmond Community Services Accounting Clerk in Mount Kisco, New York

About the Role:

Richmond Community Services an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk maintains and verifies the accuracy of individual client account balances, posts to the General Ledger, and communicates account activity to respective sites. The Accounting Clerk processes required Social Security and SSI filings and provides support to the other accounting functional areas, as assigned. Your attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment will be essential to your success in this role. You will be working in our Administration office located in Mount Kisco, NY.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting/Business or at least 2 years of commensurate experience

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Process bank deposits from various sources

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations

  • Reconcile bank statements for individual General Ledger accounts

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure cross-training in functional areas of Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

This role is a full-time non-exempt position as defined by the FLSA.
