Summary:

A clinically experienced nurse, whose primary focus is to be a clinical resource for the night shift staff providing education and at the elbow clinical guidance.Position Responsibilities: Creates an innovative, adaptive, and integrated learning culture for nurses and ancillary staff supporting the Culture of WE and strategic imperatives. Works collaboratively with nurses in assessing any learner gaps for future competencies and education. Implements a variety of teaching strategies tailored to address the best-fit for individualized learners’ characteristics, learning needs, cultural perspectives, and outcome objectives for education. Collaborates with other members of the nursing leadership team to assure appropriate competency assessment plans for orientation and annually. Participates in clinical decision-making. Assesses care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team. Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice. Evaluates professional role competence through observation in practice. Intercepts any practice problems before reaching the patients through championing professional inquiry and partnering for practice transitions. Provides just-in-time/on-demand training ensuring the desired patient outcome.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:A minimum of 3 to 5 years recent clinical experience in specialty area is required, preferably at the competent level

Masters Degree in Nursing or near completion of advanced degree.

Training/Certifications/Licensure: Possess certification relative to specialty: BLS minimum requirement, ACLS requirement for critical care, labor and delivery, emergency department. NALS for neonatal areas. PALS for those areas with children: Pediatrics and emergency department.Possess or eligible for Advanced Practice License in State of New Jersey.
