Job Description: Interventional Radiology Technician

* Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
* Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
* The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
* The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
* The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
* Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
* The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
* Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
* Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
* Groin management post intervention
* Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
* BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
* Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
* This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Certification: BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures

Schedule Notes: 9am-5pm
On call or weekends required? Yes Float yes float to endovascular OR suite, offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs. Call Back: yes weekday and weekend to include holiday on call assignment. Night call weekend 24 hours on call requirements
