DUTIES: Prepare and support Sr. Construction Manager by analyzing technical proposals for clients. Perform budgeting and staffing for Jacobs personal for Highways and Bridge Construction projects. Oversee management of preconstruction, construction and post-construction services to support clients’ capital improvement projects. Responsible to take the lead on management of the scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, communications, stakeholder, and resource management, while in collaboration with the client and CM Consultant(s). This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, and monitor and control overall progress. Lead internal & external project meetings keeping the client informed of project progress and challenges, assess impact of change requests or delays on the project schedule and budget, aid in resolving design issues should they arise, and review and assist client personnel with claim responses or contractor disputes. Provide and complete all phases of construction services, field checks, constructability reviews, project coordination, oversight of Inspectors, QA/QC tasks payment, scheduling and oversee construction to bring all contracts to completion on time and on budget. Liaise between various departments within the various stakeholders, the contractor & CM Consultant to communicate and coordinate Operational change implementation strategies and ensure uniformity throughout Operations and resolve problems that arise in meeting deadlines. Solicitation of feedback from the Jacobs leadership team to identify gaps and propose corrective action plans, including mechanisms to evaluate progress; ensure that lessons learned are accurately documented and fully incorporated into policy and new initiatives that will be critical to the success. Telecommuting is allowed.REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Construction Scheduling, CPM - Critical Path Method. Project planning and management. Civil Engineering Design. Engineering Software - AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Bluebeam. Technical Troubleshooting. Experience with change management. License/Certification:Construction Manager in Training (CMIT). Engineer-in-training (EIT) or pass FE Civil Exam. Certified ACI - Concrete Field-Testing Technician. OSHA 30 Hr. training certificate. Procore Certification.
