Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering Manager in Moorestown, New Jersey

THE WORK

You will be responsible for leading overall program infrastructure and engineering support, project management, and leadership for all Production Test Center (PTC) Engineering Projects. The Production Test Center is responsible for the Site Infrastructure, Support Systems, and System Test of the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and SPY-7, Directed Energy Projects and a number of special programs at the Moorestown, NJ facility prior to its installation at the shipyard or final site locations. PTC is currently executing Forward Fit and Back Fit Production contracts for Domestic and International Customers. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate required planning, resource needs, and Combat System Site Engineering (CSSE) Design efforts to support Program Management and Operations commitments for aforementioned contracts, projects and proposals. Leads, directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Also performs contingency development, option assessments, ROMs, BOEs, schedule options, and alternate utilization of PTC and the systems under test. In addition, support of CSEDS initiatives, Land Based Test Sites Teams, Aegis TECHREP Initiatives, and other business initiatives involving support from PTC and/or utilization of the PTC Site, systems under test, infrastructure, and technical experts.

The CSSE/Project Manager/Leader will be responsible for the following:

• Manages the PTC represented ASPEP CSSE Engineers in operational support, planning and oversight of the reconfiguration, maintenance, alteration of facility, labs or equipment, building, structures, and support infrastructure including all electrical and mechanical utilities, systems and monitoring systems. [for PTC 1 and 2 Sites as well as other design and engineering projects across the Moorestown Campus]

• Oversees the 24/7 monitoring, issue resolution and preventative maintenance planning with PTC CSSE Engineers, Maintenance and Operations Teams.

• This position will interface with PTC Operations, and Cross-Functional Teams across Maintenance, System Test, Programs, Development and Moorestown Facilities.

• Cost Account Manager and drives Monthly Performance Assessment Review (PAR)

• Support/Present at Customer Program Reviews

• Assessing the need for and implementing capital projects to support site and production test / development activities

• Leading and coordinating input during proposal and capture phases of programs to support PTC Integration and Test efforts.

• Resource Planning - Identify the costs and resources required for process improvement activities, and Structured Improvement Activities (SIA) events to provide valuable feedback and planning to program partners.

• Support capture manager in programmatic meetings as required; (i.e., Bid/No-Bid, Make/Buy, INAR, EPPs)

Basic Qualifications:

BS in engineering or related field with at least 10 years of overall technical experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across diverse groups of multi-disciplined Engineering, Program and Technical Teams.

• Program or Project Management experience

• EVMS/Cost Account Management experience

• Ability to accept responsibility, exercise authority and be held accountable for the assigned responsibilities as demonstrated through previous on-time, on-budget delivery meeting technical requirements

• Candidate should possess strong communication, leadership, and expectation setting skills to be utilized with project and program leadership, colleagues, cross-functional teams and subordinates

• Project management experience required. Ability to perform business case development for project and capital funding and justifications.

• Competency in the direction of detailed project planning, BOE and statement of work generation, supplier management, design specification development, project planning and support.

• Experience with estimation of design, site modification and maintenance costs, and with Proposals, Project Planning and Execution

• Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Planning with Integrated Execution Team

• Customer interface skills (Internal and External)

• Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement

• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and CAD tools.

• Demonstrated adherence to high ethical standards and conduct; Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills and behaviors

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Desired Skills:

• MS in engineering

• Knowledge and experience with Aegis System Equipped Vessel (ASEV) and SPY-7 program requirements, designs, and configuration

• Knowledge and experience with PTC Deckhouse requirements, support systems and maintenance requirements

• Knowledge of Building Monitoring System (BMS), controls and utilization

• Knowledge of Combat System Interface Design and impacts on Site Design

• Knowledge and experience with Combat System development, integration and test processes, planning

• PTC experience, knowledge and familiarity with AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) and current Solid State Radar design and site requirements, development, integration & test

• WBS’s EVMS, PPMP, CAM, WBOE and GenBOE

• Experience with development of new and existing Combat System Site and Lab requirements, drawing and design reviews and implementation

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
