THE POSITION Do you have a keen eye for inventory and knowing what you need and when you need it? The Department of Transportation is seeking a reliable and hardworking Stock Clerk 2 to join our Susquehanna County Maintenance team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong attention to detail, and a knack for keeping things organized, this position was made for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In the role of Stock Clerk 2, you will work under the supervision of the Roadway Programs Coordinator and will be responsible for all aspects of inventory management relating to the storeroom. You will ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained, promptly reorder supplies, and ensure sufficient quantities are available. You will also conduct random spot checks of inventory groups, so there are no variances between inventory quantity and on-hand quantity, as well as keep the storeroom in a neat and organized manner, utilizing all available space effectively. This includes labeling items clearly, with the correct description and commodity code.

Other duties you will be responsible for as a Stock Clerk 2 include, but are not limited to: The receipt, storage, distribution, ordering, inventory, and recordkeeping of all stocked items Utilizing our systems to place orders and receive, issue, transfer, and inquire stocked items Reviewing history reports to check for errors, reorder items, and record orders Printing and reviewing delinquent reports, zero usage report, and turnover reports Reviewing inventory for proper inventory levels and addressing any items that needed adjusting Issuing keys for pipe and storage cages  

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours during winter maintenance season are 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
