Overview: The Sullivan County Department of Public Works is seeking a Full-Time Laborer II in Monticello, NY.

This is routine manual work in construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, solid waste facilities, highways and bridges and maintenance of parks. The work requires physical strength, endurance and a willingness to perform arduous tasks in all weather conditions. Incumbents will operate motorized equipment at the beginner skill level, including trucks up to 35,000 G.V.W., and do related work as required. May occasionally lead in the performance of manual activity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of experience in road or building construction, maintenance or solid waste. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT: Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License with a B classification (CDL-B).
