DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of your role, you will be responsible for assessing the qualifications of applicants and the condition of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards. This will involve conducting various tests, such as vision tests and driver license knowledge examinations, to assess individuals' understanding of traffic regulations. Additionally, you will be conducting driver license tests in accordance with department standards. Another important aspect of your job will be examining application paperwork and documents for authenticity and possible irregularities or fraud.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 80 hour bi-weekly Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch This position requires overtime and travel Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. *  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY*  

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (commonwealth title); or Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Special Requirements: This position requires an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application. This position requires no suspensions or revocations of a driver's license during the five-year period immediately preceding employment. All employees in this job hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver's license within the first six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment.

Other Requirements:

You must meet the PA residency requirement.  You must be able to perform essential job functions.
