Broadway Manor Direct Care Professional in Milton, Pennsylvania
We are seeking Direct Care Professionals with experience in retirement homes, memory care, and assisted living facilities to provide high-quality, compassionate care to elderly residents. The job entails supporting clients with daily living activities, assisting with medical needs, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assisting residents with mobility, transfers, and transportation within the facility or home
- Supporting individuals with memory loss and dementia in memory care units
- Administering medications, reminding clients to take prescribed medications, and monitoring vital signs
- Assisting with feeding, meal preparation, and ensuring proper nutrition
- Engaging residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their well-being
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents
- Reporting changes in residents' conditions to supervisors or healthcare staff
- Ensuring cleanliness of residents' living spaces, including light housekeeping and laundry
- Documenting care provided and maintaining accurate records
Hours of Work:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Various shifts available, including weekdays, weekends, and evening shifts
Work Location:
- Primary worksite located in Milton, PA
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of direct care experience in retirement homes, memory care, or assisted living facilities
- Experience working with individuals with memory loss, dementia, and other cognitive impairments is preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certifications:
- Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or other relevant healthcare certifications.
- Skills:
- Ability to deliver compassionate and empathetic care to elderly clients
- Ability to assist with daily activities and provide emotional support
- Knowledge of safety protocols and healthcare procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting and transferring clients
