Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with experience in the installation, maintenance, and rebuilding of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment, read and interpret blueprints, and provide technical assistance to team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and rebuilding of industrial machinery and equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

• Provide technical assistance to other team members.

• Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and other drawings to dismantle heavy machinery and repair.

• Rebuild components such as gear drives, pumps, and hydraulic pumps.

• Fit bearings and align gears, shafts, motors, couplings, and belts to precise tolerances.

Essential Skills

• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, layout plans, and other drawings.

• Knowledge of maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.

• Skills in welding, preventive maintenance, and conveyor systems.

• Ability to work with hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Millwright or Maintenance Technician.

• Ability to rebuild components such as gear drives, pumps, and hydraulic pumps.

• Fit bearings and align gears, shafts, motors, couplings, and belts to precise tolerances.

Work Environment

This is a hot, heavy industrial environment with large machines and molten metal making equipment. The facility is loud, and safety gear including hardhats, steel-toed boots with metatarsals, and respirators must be worn at all times. Beards are not permitted due to fit testing requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
