Job Overview:

The Program Manager is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive programs and services for adults with brain injuries, ensuring the highest level of member and caregiver satisfaction. They lead a cohesive team, foster professional development, and uphold rigorous standards of care, thereby driving continuous improvement within the organization. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community for individuals with brain injuries.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree in health-related field

  • AHA BLS Provider Certification

  • Valid NJ Driver s License and clean driving record

  • At least 5 years of experience in a nonprofit organization serving people with disabilities

  • At least 2 years of experience working with adults with brain injury

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management skills

Preferred:

  • Master s degree

  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist CBIS

  • Bilingual- Spanish

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • AHA BLS Provider Certification

  • Valid NJ Driver s License

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time (40 hours/week)

  • Flexible hours

  • Occasional travel

  • Hybrid/partial remote work

Essential Functions:

Program Operations

  • Develop, plan, and execute strategic initiatives for program enhancement

  • Assist with the development and execution of strategic initiatives for membership growth and retention

  • Collaborate with the leadership team on long-term growth, sustainability, and impact strategies

  • Manage day-to-day Clubhouse operations, including scheduling, facilities management, and logistics

  • Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the program

  • Efficiently allocate resources to support program objectives

  • Lead the successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of EPIC, Electronic Medical Records EMR system

Quality

  • Ensure programs meet the specific needs of adults with brain injuries

  • Deliver top-tier member and caregiver services, including activities, workshops, and events

  • Provide direct Clubhouse member care for designated areas as needed

Staff Management and Compliance

  • Manage and supervise staff members, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team

  • Facilitate professional development opportunities

  • Maintain compliance with services for individuals with disabilities

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safeguard member privacy, and improve documentation efficiency and accuracy, per outpatient CSH/RWJBH

  • Plays a pivotal role as one of the champions for CARF survey compliance, ensuring that the organization meets and exceeds standards for quality care and service delivery

  • Provides supervision to non-therapy program team

Financial and Collaboration

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive process to optimize billing opportunities for services

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and development, to enhance program visibility and support fundraising initiatives

  • Partner in philanthropy to help advance program development and growth
