· Transports ambulatory and non-ambulatory passengers in County vehicles in a safe, reliable and timely manner.

· Assists passengers in boarding and disembarking County vehicles from door to door.

· Interacts professionally and cheerfully with passengers.

· Follows logical, efficient and direct transportation routes according to "Ecolane" operating device.

· Ensures that any required fares/fees are collected and receipts distributed to appropriate passengers.

· Observes all traffic laws.

· Provides information for periodic surveys as requested.

· Maintains order and discipline in the vehicles.

· Operates radio communication in a professional manner.

· Performs pre and post trip walks around the vehicle assigned that day to ensure safety and assist in maintenance of vehicle.

· Maintains daily record sheets as required.

· Participates in training as provided.

· Assists in training new Vehicle Operators.

· Performs general maintenance on vehicles such as, but not limited to, checking on fluids, and air pressure in tires.

· Assures that the vehicle assigned to them is clean.

· Assists other Vehicle Operators in completing their tasks if they cannot do them due to unforeseen circumstances.

· Performs other job related duties as required.
