POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide customer relations to pro-actively secure orders from existing accounts; respond to requests from potential customers regarding product information; answer or find answers to product-related questions and advises sales force of such leads; interacts with Production facilities to insure order fulfillment; assist in monitoring shipments and delivery of orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Process Industrial orders, follow up, track open, closed, pending pickup. Touch base with Customers, or 3PL, on all missed pickups

  • Quote Choline products for Industrial orders

  • Process Specialty Products orders and communicate with customers and Technical Sales Person to ensure questions regarding orders are clarified.

  • Follow up on orders as needed to help ensure on-time delivery to the customer

  • Regularly request Industrial and Specialty Product Forms from customers - follow up and obtain updated forms. Ensure all forms are saved at designated folders

  • Invoicing issues - investigate, document, take required action and record for reference

  • Assist with maintaining inventory levels at Balchem Transload sites and external warehouses as needed.

  • Fixed Assets at customers - follow up on containers that have been out for extended periods of time. Reach out to customers as needed.

  • Route website queries to other departments, as needed

  • Perform other duties as required

    Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, prefer college degree.

  • 3-5 years- experience in customer service and order entry

  • Excellent phone and people skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral

  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and work in an organized and self-supervised manner

  • Computer literate in database, Excel and Microsoft word processing programs

  • High level of initiative and ability to solve problems

The expected hourly range for this position is $20-$25 an hour.
