Responsibilities
We currently have an opening for a skilled Mechanical Assembler at our Melville, New York location, with strong module wiring expertise to assemble and wire difficult and complex electronic assemblies. Works under the limited supervision of the senior manufacturing staff.
Wiring, solder and assemble operations required in the construction of complex electronic equipment.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams. Work from models, schematics, wiring diagrams, pictorials, or breakdown sheets such as wire run lists and operational sheets. Use personal judgment to resolve problems.
Use color for component identification.
Select proper gauge wire in accordance with run lists.
Perform cabling and harnessing.
Use soldering irons, pliers, cutters of various types, wire strippers and other standard wiring and assembly tools in subassembly and final assembly procedures.
Perform continuity checks and rework.
Train and assist lower-level assemblers.
Maintain a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and 2 years’ technical school or military related experience
Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ electronic assembly and wiring experience
