Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care and services to residents under the supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the resident with activities of daily living
• Recognizes residents' strengths and uses rehabilitative nursing techniques to restore or maintain independence
• Reports observations to the Nurse concerning the residents' condition or activities
• Assist in meeting the resident's emotional needs.
• Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment

``` - Transports residents from one nursing unit to another. - Attends staff development programs related to job responsibilities and maintains educational requirements needed for certifications

Experience:

Previous health care experience preferred

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Licensure/Certification:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
