    SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION: 

    A Material Handler II is responsible for selecting, packing, receiving, and shipping orders to customers utilizing Power Industrial trucks (PIT). A Material Handler II will participate in solving problems and implementing solutions in a team-based environment to increase Woodstream’s productivity and is an integral part of the distribution team.  Their success will be determined by the positive way in which they communicate, cooperate, interact, and contribute towards achieving work center goals and objectives.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and put away inventory.

  • Pick orders according to instructions. 

  • Ship orders by the requested ship date.

  • Use scanners to read bar codes on products.

  • View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks.

  • Troubleshoot problems.

  • Ensure product meets quality requirements.

  • Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) to pick orders, put away products, load and unload trucks, such as a forklift, electrical pallet jack, high reach, and work at heights up to 35 feet.

  • Load orders into trucks for shipment

  • Maintain a safe working environment and practice safe work habits.

  • Meet Productivity and Quality Standards

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Aptitude for problem solving and basic math.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    UCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:

  • 1 year warehouse experience w/RF & WMS experience preferred.

  • 1 year for forklift (stand-up or sit-down), high reach, electric pallet jack. 

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Basic math and reading skills.

  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
