Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a dynamic and growing team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company's financial operations and ensure smooth payment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025)

  • Liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and ensure proper documentation for payments.

  • Prepare payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

  • Utilize Excel skills to create detailed reports using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced functions to analyze AP data and support decision-making. (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025)

  • Manage the filing and organization of invoices and payment records for audit purposes.

  • Work with internal teams, including procurement and accounting, to improve workflows related to AP processes.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, and reconciliation. Background in a fast-paced environment preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and related tools for data analysis. (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025)

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills and high level of accuracy when processing invoices and payments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve AP issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
