Job Title: Panel Builder (Production Associate IV)
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Range: $25-27/hr
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder to join our team. The successful candidate will apply electrical principles to assemble and install electrical wiring, components, and equipment into electric control panels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform complex wiring and assembly operations on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and other electrical components.
Conduct functional testing of equipment while energized (up to 480 volts).
Use and maintain fabrication tools for electrical and mechanical assemblies such as crimpers, wire stripping tools, and label machines.
Collaborate with engineering and quality control on issues relating to bill of materials, drawings, and schematics.
Demonstrate electrical safety practices and use of proper PPE as required.
Manufacture prototypes of new products, identifying problems and providing feedback.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: 2-4 years of electrical work with industrial control panels or 3-5 years of experience or transferable knowledge from similar industries. Experience in conducting functional testing of equipment while energized (up to 480 volts).
Language and Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Fluent in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.
