A Research Engineer is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Malvern, PA area. The Research Engineer will manage multiple projects, supporting product performance improvement and laboratory testing, demonstrating hands-on capability and adherence to safety protocols, while effectively communicating project progress and maintaining thorough documentation.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet business and customer objectives.

  • Support projects related to product performance improvement, understanding key performance attributes, raw material competency, new laboratory test development, and recurring plant testing.

  • Transition between lab and workshop environments with hands-on capability.

  • Report project progress through oral presentations, written reports, and laboratory procedures.

  • Actively participate in safety and equipment-related activities in the laboratory, including updating safety information, organizing 5S activities, and promoting team cooperation.

  • Maintain lab notebook to record data related to key projects.

Skills:

  • Capacity to work in a 5S environment while maintaining good lab skills.

  • Basic knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).

  • Ability to work in a lab environment, building relationships and establishing support for cross-functional project execution.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or other scientific disciplines.
