Saint-Gobain Community Relations & Philanthropy Lead in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

The Community Relations & Philanthropy Lead is responsible for directly supporting the Saint-Gobain North America Foundation and community relations programs focused on developing our relationship with the community and enhancing our positive contributions. They will play a critical role in communications and a positive reputation. The incumbent will create and deliver communications support in the areas of employee connection and critical business communications, and they will enhance philanthropic efforts through the active development of community partnerships and sponsorships. The individual will directly support programs aimed at developing our relationships with the community and enhancing our positive contributions.

  • Lead Community Giving efforts to exhaust all funds available for all Saint-Gobain North America sites, support, provide updates, coordinate volunteer opportunities, and develop stories and media for internal and external use

  • Coordination and facilitation of Saint-Gobain North America Foundation meetings, grant reviews, requests for funding, and evaluations (screen, identify need & fit) of non-profit partnership opportunities

  • Creating opportunities to build and sustain philanthropic efforts and showcase additional non-profits

  • In collaboration with PR functions & the businesses, brainstorm, plan, organize, and manage activities that help the organization achieve its public relations goals utilizing SGNA Foundation as an engagement tool

  • Developing strong relationships with sites and communities

  • Work in collaboration with BUs & Functions to write news releases, company stories, factsheets, talking points, and social media content in aim to enhance the organization’s public image

  • Manage SGNA Foundation programs – GiveWell, Community Gifts, EEAF, and Direct Grants

  • Prepare SGNA Foundation reporting & support for the Foundation Board meetings

  • Successfully create sustainable community employee committees in targeted locations throughout North America. Implement policies, attract members, advise and empower the committee to utilize all additional funding aligning with SGNA Foundation focus areas

  • Lead an Ambassador Program, promoting collaboration with ambassadors across North America to increase knowledge of our philanthropic and SGNA foundation activities and benefits, and empower ambassadors to create volunteer opportunities at their local sites

  • Assist in elevating SGNA Foundation Direct partnerships, creating volunteer events, aligning focus areas, promotion, and collaboration of relationships internally and externally

  • Establish impact reports for all community relations programs including grants, community gifts, matching gifts and volunteerism to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs in support of the company’s overall strategic business objectives.

  • Cultivate and focus on SGNA Foundation projects and partnerships located in and around Malvern, PA to enhance HQ reputation and community efforts

  • Manage third party on-line giving platform, that administers, processes and drives SGNA Foundation, campaigns and distribution of funding

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the required field

  • 5-7 years in community relations, corporate philanthropy, marketing, &/or public relations

  • Experience working within a highly-matrixed organization is preferred-

  • Proven record of delivering a positive business impact

  • Strong literature skills in both speaking & writing (attention to detail is essential)

  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders & recognize opportunity

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments

  • Ability to contribute in a collaborative, team driven environment and represent companies interest

  • Well-developed organizational influence skills with the ability to work with people at all levels within the organization
