The Associate Creative Director will lead a team of writers and designers, developing a diverse range of creative solutions that will set Vanguard apart and drive action. Looking for an experienced leader, someone that can inspire others and take our creative campaigns to a new level. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves to write but also has a natural eye for design and can guide our teams to develop conceptual marketing that will drive results up and down the marketing funnel.

In This Role You Will:

• Foster a highly collaborative and creative environment.

• Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Help establish quality standard. Work closely with the Creative Director to inspire, recognize and nurture bold and effective creative ideas.

• Bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients.

• Manage a team of designers and writers to create user-centric, on-brand creative solutions that meet business and user goals.

• Partner with teams across the enterprise in defining and communicating the creative direction.

• Expertly present creative concepts to senior management, project teams, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure the success of the strategy and the ability to champion the best possible work.

• Develop and leverage a professional network across the enterprise to foster collaboration within the department to support department-wide initiatives, and to improve the ability of the department in resolving issues.

• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What it Takes:

• Minimum of five years related work experience, in agency, or in house agency environment.

• Oversight of both writers and designers

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on leadership and people management.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graphic Design or other creative arts degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
