Program : Woodland Commons Macedon, NY

Shift Schedule : Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm – 7:00am

Salary : Salary pay range is min. $16.50 to a max. $21.49 per hr. based on education & experience (evening & overnight hours may qualify for a shift differential)

    Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide front desk coverage between the hours of 11pm and 7am

  • Provide appropriate assistance as needed to tenants and visitors in an expedient and professional manner

  • Promote good public relations though courteous, helpful and professional contact with staff, tenants and their visitors

  • Maintain group order and manage conflicts and crises appropriately

  • Maintain constant surveillance of assigned areas providing maximum visibility

  • Maintain security by becoming familiar with surroundings as well as building residents and guests

  • Greet and check in any visitors

  • Assure that all persons entering the building are authorized to do so

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation according to organization policies and procedures

  • Enforce rules and policies of the property

  • Issue/re-program keys

  • Submit IT and property work order requests as needed

  • Serve as “essential personnel” as needed in times of emergency response i.e. severe inclement weather • Supervise self-administration of medications for program residents on an as needed basis.

  • Must remain on shift and awake until replacement arrives

    Experience, Education, & Physical Qualifications

    Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to move supplies and use equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Minimal outdoor work and use of cleaning solvents.

    Knowledge: General knowledge and understanding of Mental Health issues, Chemical Addiction and the Psychiatric Rehabilitation model; psychology, personality, and group dynamics; principles and practices of conflict and crisis management, adult learning, motivation, interpersonal communications, household management; independent living skills; the Human Services system; use of motivational interviewing to engage individuals; positive philosophy toward wellness/recovery and trauma informed care.

    Skills and Abilities : Reading and interpreting information, following instructions, developing and maintaining a schedule of duties; analyzing and evaluating situations and using independent judgment and initiative in taking effective action; communicating clearly and concisely; setting priorities and meeting deadlines; ability to use cleaning equipment. Must be able to work effectively and professionally around persons with mental illness.
