Quality Healthcare Staffing Audiologist in LONG ISLAND CITY, New York

Job Title: AudiologistJob Type: Full-timePay Rate: $85 Per hourWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm (Shifts may vary based on clinic needs)Due Date: June 1st, 2024Job Summary:Provide comprehensive audiology services to individuals with developmental disabilities.Conduct diagnostic hearing tests, evaluate middle ear function, prescribe and fit hearing aids, offer counseling, and provide ongoing support.Ideal candidate holds a valid New York State audiology license, is enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare, has 2+ years of experience with developmental disabilities, and expertise in billing.Proficiency in electronic health record systems and compliance with training requirements is necessary.Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic hearing tests and impedance/middle ear testing.Evaluate hearing aid candidacy, provide recommendations, and conduct follow-up care.Offer counseling, support, and on-site training to individuals and staff.Complete billing for Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance accurately.Maintain compliance with clinic protocols and participate in training sessions.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.Qualifications:Doctoral degree in Audiology or related field, valid New York State audiology license, and authorized Hearing Aid Dispenser.Enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare, with 2+ years of experience with developmental disabilities and familiarity with Medicaid billing processes.Proficiency in electronic health record systems, strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.Required Documents for Application:Resume(s), at least 3 professional references.Valid professional license, picture ID, and documentation verifying board certification.TB testing/inoculation according to 14 NYCRR Section 633.14 and proof of two MMR inoculations.
