At Ethos Biosciences, we are a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that offers private label manufacturing to many of the biggest life science and diagnostic companies around the world. Our core competencies are immunoassays (ELISA/Lateral Flow) as well as specialty and high volume diagnostic stains, buffers, and reagents. Our laboratories, manufacturing suites, and warehouse areas are purpose built to accommodate these specialty manufacturing and development operations. We occupy a newly built, state of the art, 126,000ft2 stand-alone building in Logan Township, NJ. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all aspects of the timely and quality-focused development of lateral flow assays from concept through product. This includes performing product feasibility tasks, designing, planning and executing experiments in an ISO13485/FDA 820 environment; interpreting results and summarizing data into project reports. In addition to executing their own projects, this position will provide technical troubleshooting and assistance to others as a subject matter expert across interdisciplinary teams.This position will also be responsible for the manufacturing of already developed products.
Lead the development of the lateral flow assays from concept through product, including initial design and development, feasibility, assay optimization, assay integration, verification and validation studies.
Prepare progress reports for Management.
Perform literature and market research on new research or product areas.
Design and execute experiments to support research, feasibility and product development.
Establish manufacturing processes and quality control procedures for new products, and author associated documents.
Perform and/or support the necessary design verification and validation studies to support new product launches.
Support the scale-up of new manufacturing processes as needed.
Support the transfer of new technologies, products and/or manufacturing processes into and out of the company.
Serve as the subject matter expert on risk assessment, troubleshooting investigation and audit support teams.
Identify the commercial source, and validate the materials from external vendors and service providers for product development.
Plan and schedule all scientific work associated with lateral flow product design and manufacture.
Manage / coach junior laboratory members in daily technical and scientific activities.
Attend conferences / visit customers with sales staff when appropriate.
Optimize and manufacture already developed products.
