Yahoo Holdings Inc. seeks Service Reliability Engineer I - (AGVELB) in Lockport, NY.Job Duties: Support network up-time and health, including the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintain of network hardware and software required to operate complex production networks; support network delivery, including the design, deployment, scaling, and evolution of complex production networks; analyze, design, deploy, and test new solutions; conduct hardware and software refreshes; document policies and procedures; implement and support complex network solutions in a hybrid O&O data center and public cloud environment; apply knowledge of IP routing protocols including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, IP Multicast, and MPLS; conduct network capacity management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting; help resolve complex network infrastructure issues in a tier2-3 engineering capacity; mentor junior staff members on day-to-day operations, analytic skills, and network technologies; collaborate with architecture teams to develop sound automation solutions; participate and drive postmortem discovery to help troubleshoot design issues and find practical solutions to address barriers.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Network Engineer, Network Specialist, Network Architect, or in a related/similar position.Special Skills:Experience therein to include 2 years performing each of the following skills:•Scripting languages including Shell, Perl, Python, or ruby;•VLANS, VRRP/HSRP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, IPv4/6, and NAT;•TCP or UDP;•LAN, WAN, WLAN, or WWAN design and implementation; and •Troubleshooting large-scale, and complex distributed networks.
