Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and be capable of performing physical tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move materials throughout the facility in support of operations.

  • Using ERP system, SAP, electronically move materials that mirror the physical movements with 100% accuracy.

  • Execute Cycle Counts as directed.

  • Based on visual indicators and/or actual orders, pull material in a timely manner that supports the needs of manufacturing and support services.

  • Manage warehouse and replenish Kanban material as needed.

  • Supply all required material to line operators based on the production schedule.

  • Maintain communication with other departments to allow the storage and hand off of products.

  • Maintain traceability of all product.

  • Strive for 100% inventory accuracy; cycle counting done daily.

  • Operate hand jacks and forklifts to safely move material.

  • Adhere to all safety rules, especially those related to proper lifting and use of forklifts.

  • Follow Q&EMS Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.

  • Assist in minimizing environmental impact and preventing pollution through recycling efforts defined in the waste management programs.

  • Present opportunities to reduce cost either for the company or customer.

  • Move and/or stage materials in support of production demand.

  • Work with Planning/Purchasing to assist in expediting materials off incoming trucks and QC processing.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience.

  • Minimum 6 months of forklift experience.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Ability to lift between 40-50 lbs.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Experience with cycle counts and pallet jacks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED.

  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • An analytical mindset.

  • Proficiency in the use of computers.

  • Experience with ERP software inventory management; cycle counts and receipt transactions.

  • Experience, training, and certifications with forklift and turret truck.

  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.

  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature controlled and operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 5am-4:00pm. The role requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
