NJ Employer farmworker in Lewistown, New York

Anticipated period of employment: 03/24/2025 to 04/19/2025

All workers should have at least 3 months experience hand harvesting fruit on a commercial farm. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. All drug testing will occur after the worker begins his or her employment and is not apart of the interview process.

Pruning Grapes- While pruning vines or canes, workers will receive proper tools for the particular job, i.e., saw, pruners, chain saws, loppers, and hand snips. Workers will be assigned rows of vines and must prune each vine and canes according to the size of the vine and the need for the pruning. Workers must take care not to damage vines that are not being pruned. Workers will tie grapes to support structures. Pruning grapes is outdoor work in the winter. Tying grapes is outdoor work in the late winter/early spring. It will be winter weather conditions in Western NY that you must work in.See ETA 790/790A for a complete job description

Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office. Interested candidates must contact their local employment office to receive a copy of the job order (ETA 790/790A) and applicable attachments. Once the applicant has a copy of the job contract they may call and/or email the employer to schedule an interview Monday- Thursday from 8am to 12pm and referred to NY1522461 as the JO is in connection with this NJ number.
