Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Medication Technician in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Part-Time / Day Shift / 48 scheduled hours per pay period

Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, a Diakon Senior Living Community --- Located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Buffalo Valley is seeking skilled and caring individuals to be part of Diakon's Many Hands One Heart team. Our community features a vibrant community of senior living homes, a personal care center and a skilled nursing and rehabilitative center. Employees, including those in our 5-star rated nursing and rehab center have the option to purchase meals and snacks from our Grab 'n Go shop or café. 

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting residents with their daily personal needs such as, bathing, grooming, and dressing, etc.  
  • Administers medication within Diakon policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to the residents and their family members.
  • Documents vital signs including blood pressure, temperature respiration and weight checks and other pertinent information in the resident's electronic health record.

Education/Training: A high school diploma, GED, or active registry status on the state nurse aide registry required. Successful completion of Pennsylvania Personal Care DPW Medication Administration Course/ Maryland Assisted Living Medication Administration course.  

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions preferred.  

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
