Transitions of PA is a comprehensive crime victim services center that provides support to survivors of violence and abuse through advocacy, education, and support services in Union, Snyder, and Northumberland Counties.

Summary

We are seeking a Finance and Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Transitions of PA. The Finance and HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the organization through administrative, fiscal, and human resource functions.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative & Compliance Support -- Perform administrative duties such as document preparation, data entry, meeting coordination, and report generation while assisting with funder reporting and compliance tracking.
  • Financial Recordkeeping & Transactions -- Enter financial data into QuickBooks, categorize transactions, reconcile bank statements, process payments, and maintain financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Grant & Fund Management -- Support grant tracking by allocating expenses, maintaining financial documentation, and preparing reports for funders, leadership, and auditors.
  • Human Resources Support -- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and terminations, ensuring compliance with hiring procedures and maintaining up-to-date personnel records.
  • Benefits & Policy Administration -- Coordinate employee benefits, workers' compensation, and disability claims while supporting policy review and compliance efforts.
  • Staff & Organizational Support -- Maintain HR and finance records, provide meeting support, generate service dashboards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to four years of college coursework and at least three years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting and administrative tasks, along with general office procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with financial software such as QuickBooks.
  • Completion of an 80-hour Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Counselor Training upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to obtain Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances.
