Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Administrative Secretary in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, a Diakon Senior Living Community --- Located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Buffalo Valley is seeking skilled and caring individuals to be part of Diakon's Many Hands One Heart team. Our community features a vibrant community of senior living homes, a personal care center and a skilled nursing and rehabilitative center. General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing a variety of secretarial and administrative duties to support the assigned functions and supervisors.
  • Answers and places telephone calls; assists callers if possible or transfers calls to the proper individual or department; takes and delivers messages.
  • Types correspondence, memos, forms, tables, reports, etc. utilizing computers, spreadsheets, databases, and specialized departmental equipment/software to prepare documents as appropriate.
  • Arranges meetings and conferences, schedules appointments, and maintains a schedule of supervisor's commitments to avoid conflicts.

     

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in business curriculum.  

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.  

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
