The Deputy Manager will support and assist the Executive Director with oversight and the overall planning, direction, and management of all operations at the Atlantic Beach Bridge.This position is responsible for the oversight of administration, operations, maintenance and repair of all infrastructure and systems at the movable bridge and includes, but is not limited to staffing, customer service, buildings, grounds, roadways, plumbing, drainage systems, signage, security systems, and lighting and more.This position is also responsible for the management of maintenance staff, supervisors, and personnel; coordination with vendors, contractors, directors, managers, and other departments on projects; and as-needed coverage for the Executive Director.Flexible schedule dependent on Bridge needs, weekend and evening work as required, emergency management and special event/incident coverage required.QualificationsSeven (7) years of experience working in the business, electrical, mechanical, and/or structural fieldsSeven (7) years of experience and knowledge of business, maintenance and operations of facilitiesFive (5) years of managerial or supervisory experienceDriver’s License valid in the state of New YorkKnowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems of facilitiesKnowledge of roads, bridges and highway repairsKnowledge of health and safetyKnowledge of labor and contractual issuesKnowledge of Public, Municipal and/or New York State Authority policies and proceduresKnowledge of snow removal operations and emergency preparednessStrong Leadership skillsAbility to successfully interact with internal and external individuals at all levelsAbility to resolve maintenance issues without disruption to customers or employeesKnowledge of procurement systems, computerized work order systems, and necessary equipment to maintain the facilityBachelor of Business, Management, AdministrationBachelor of Science degree in Operations Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering a plusAdvanced Degree a plus.Job Type: Full-timePay: $112,183.00 - $123,429.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to Relocate:Lawrence, NY 11559: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
