What is the job?

  • Responsible for operating Pre Expander & Block Mold equipment in accordance with procedures to ensure optimum product quality. Consistently acts as a representative of OPCO Inc. by supporting the company's Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence

  • Understands the manufacturing process, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.

  • Sets up & operates the Pre expander & Block Mold.

  • Verify equipment set-up prior to starting Mold & shuts down equipment.

  • Verifies order information and produces block with the correct material, density, weight, and size, within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements.

  • Expand & mold bead to specific density. Communicates with supervisor to ensure a clear understanding of the daily/weekly molding schedule.

  • Monitor molding process to ensure proper fusion of the block and record pertinent block information

  • Label block with required information.

  • Cut blocks to the specified size required.

  • Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor; assist with routine cleaning and maintenance.

  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment settings

  • Responsible for training back-up operators as needed

  • Maintains proper work logs and completes required reports as necessary.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.

  • Transports finished product using forklift or hand operated equipment.

  • Performs any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Must be trained and familiar with general safety.

  • Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.

  • Regular & reliable attendance is required.

Experience Needed?

  • Ability to read, comprehend & write correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information to management.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide multiple digit numbers.

  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or blueprint form.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations involving a variety of solutions.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer software/hardware.
