System One Process Technician in Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Process Technician Objective
This position provides daily leadership of personnel and manufacturing processes in a production cell. The Process Technician makes decisions that optimize company goals and objectives, ensures product quality, and provides leadership to cell team members.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe work environment, enforce shop safety rules, and uphold housekeeping standards
Coordinate daily cell functions to ensure efficient operation of production equipment and personnel utilization while maintaining product quality
Collaborate with Process Technicians on adjacent shifts for efficient turnover of operations
Communicate daily with all shift personnel and the Production Manager/Shift Coordinator
Implement company policies and procedures fairly and consistently
Complete job-related reports and documentation in a timely manner (production reports, machine setups, process data, etc.)
Identify potential problems with machinery, molds, process criteria, and auxiliary equipment that could affect quality or production schedules
Use blue and red tag system to flag issues and make repair recommendations
Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems contributing to downtime, inefficiency, and scrap
Develop team spirit and motivate employees to achieve maximum performance
Maintain setup sheets and log process changes during production
Perform process setup including mold setup, press setup, and auxiliary equipment setup
Make process adjustments, apply molding techniques, operate molding machines and auxiliary equipment, monitor cycle times, and minimize scrap rates
Direct employees and contract personnel from other departments as needed
Cooperate with other departments to ensure product quality meets customer needs
Requirements
Work Night Shift 2:2:3 schedule
Experience in manufacturing process management
Leadership and personnel management skills
Knowledge of molding techniques and equipment
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with quality control procedures
Ability to maintain accurate documentation
Understanding of safety protocols and standards
