Job Summary:

Operates CNC cutting equipment to cut extruded ceramic components to tight tolerance specifications under statistical process control. Performs necessary operation related to cutting, potting degreasing and cleaning of extruded parts.

Primary Functions: Use CNC machining equipment to cut extruded parts to desired length. Inspect cuts and make necessary adjustments to machinery to maintain desired size. Measure and record measurement data for process control. Operates CNC machine loading and unloading parts, maintaining machine fluids and cleanliness of machine. Cleans resin from parts using automated cleaning equipment as necessary. Uses inspection and measuring devices as required to determine size. Maintains assigned work area in clean and orderly conditions and observes all safety rules and practices. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned to assist other plant personnel as necessary to insure continued on time quality production. Works consistently within prescribed tolerances.

Tool and Equipment: Must be able to utilize and operate dry-cutting equipment, potting equipment, wet-cutting equipment, vapor degreaser, ultrasonic cleaner, as directed to clean potting resin from parts, scales, computers, micrometers, calipers, gauges, microscopes and other types of measuring devices. Maintains operation of cleaning equipment in compliance with any applicable environmental and safety regulations.
