Alaant Workforce Solutions is recruiting an R&D Electrical Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team in Latham, NY.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience with Altium, circuit boards, and schematics. This role involves designing, developing, and testing innovative electrical systems and components, contributing directly to the advancement of our client's cutting-edge technology.

Hours and Benefits for the Electrical Engineer:

• Monday – Friday, regular business hours

• Salary range of $80,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer:

• Work on new product development with product sustenance for manufacturing.

• Design, develop, and test circuit boards and electrical systems using Altium.

• Create and optimize schematics and layouts for new products and prototypes.

• Build and test prototypes to ensure design functionality and performance.

• Create and manage BOMs, to reproduce the design on the manufacturing floor.

• Create and maintain work instructions for design transfer to manufacturing.

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree preferred.

• 3+ years’ experience working in electrical engineering, focusing on circuit board design and schematics.

• Experience with microcontroller-based board design and mixed-signal I/O.

• Proficient in Altium schematic capture and board layout.

• Experience using test instruments, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and network analyzers.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Cardholder.
