Job Title: Quality and Training Lead

Offered Wage: $104,000.00/year

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania

 

This position requires approximately 60% domestic travel, often on short notice.

 

Duties: Provides quality and technical expertise to training management staff to ensure Field Operations organization safety, quality, and efficiency are met. Develops and maintains procedures, documentation, and processes, including Field Operations and client-specific procedures and guidelines; Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) monitoring and tracking, and auditing checklists and compliance tracking; human performance documentation tools, forms, and checklists; incident reporting guidelines, process, forms, and tracking; project-specific procedures and documentation, including planning, risk management, reporting, and closeout; support technology integration to automate any procedures to provide improved efficiency, tracking, and data logging; and, provide technical expertise, support, and mentoring to field personnel. Develops and maintains training content and training programs to support procedures, documentation, and processes with respect to Field Operations, including safety, quality and human performance, engineering design processes and fundamentals, core competencies, outages and construction sequencing, industry standards and codes, and assessments and qualifications. Assists in leading QA/QC auditing efforts, including auditing criteria and documentation, tracking and analysis, audit training, and communication and reporting. Assists regional leadership to determine "lessons learned" and corrective actions and training to implement. Performs incident report tracking and analysis, identifies leading indicators, error-likely situations, and reviews against auditing statistics. Facilitates the implementation of new processes and procedures.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer (or closely related profession) testing and commissioning high-voltage substations.

 

Required Skills:

(1)  Demonstrated expertise (DE) instructing technical courses to Field Engineers;

(2)  DE performing substation and transmission line engineering and construction;

(3)  DE working on client projects in the Mid-Atlantic region in a position requiring the use of Human Performance and Quality Principles; and,

(4)  DE assisting and facilitating the testing and commissioning of control and protection electro-mechanical relays and equipment. and verifying testing requirements.
