DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Location: 715 Fountain Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601

We are growing and adding a new Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of grounds, facility and departmental custodial duties along with minor maintenance tasks. This position will be critical in maintaining a safe, efficient and productive work environment as well as creating a location which projects a positive image to customers, vendors and fellow employees. They will keep buildings in a neat and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as sweeping, cleaning floors, washing walls and other surfaces, removing rubbish along with other general housekeeping duties. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Core Contributions: * Perform a variety of general maintenance, grounds and custodial duties and projects. * Take initiative to act on minor and reoccurring housekeeping duties. * Operate heavy or specialized equipment; operate a variety of tools, machinery and equipment and a variety of power and hand tools used in custodial services and grounds maintenance. * Recommend large-scale general maintenance and custodial needs to proper maintenance personnel and assist maintenance team. * Move heavy equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks. * Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to equipment and exposure to employees. * Maintain various tools and equipment used in the course of work in a clean, orderly and safe working condition. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Essential Experiences: * High school diploma or GED or 4+ years of maintenance experience * Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment and work independently; with or without direct supervision * Must have the ability to learn the methods, equipment and materials used in general maintenance, grounds and custodial work * Ability to perform basic math functions and basic records-keeping techniques * 3+ months forklift experience * Must have ability to work on elevated surfaces using a variety of machines and equipment (ladders, man lift, scissor lift, etc.) * Basic computer literacy (inventory data entry, read work orders, etc.) * Must be safety-conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner; including operating hand power tools and material handling equipment * Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
