A Concrete Rose Cashier in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

*COMPANY MISSION STATEMENT: *

A Concrete Rose merges a bookstore, urban winery and live entertainment venue under one roof; a book bar but so much more! The bookstore will feature books and art created by authors and artists of the African diaspora providing the community with the opportunity to learn about different cultures through the immersion of literature and art. We aim to provide the community with a place to freely express themselves and showcase their work on a regular basis. The inclusion of wine intersects a sophisticated experience with a casual experience giving our space an unpretentious vibe for all to enjoy.

*CASHIER POSITION DESCRIPTION: * A Cashier handles payment and ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements. Reports to Restaurant Manager.

*POSITION PURPOSE: *

  • Collects cash, checks or charge payments from guests and provides change and charge vouchers if appropriate
  • Verifies accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks and charge payments at end of shift
  • Obtains and reviews information regarding price changes
  • Verifies employee discounts, returns, exchanges and voids with the assistance of the manager
  • Helps restock, and supports team members
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • *Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

``` - Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

*SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: *

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, ben ing, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
