Sealing Devices Learning and Development Intern - Manufacturing in Lancaster, New York

About this Role: Sealing Devices is a leading manufacturing organization committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Our Learning & Development team plays a crucial role in enhancing employee skills, leadership capabilities, and operational excellence. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our L&D initiatives and contribute to meaningful training projects.

What you will do:

  • Complete the move of Work Instructions from Sealing Devices Quality Management System (QMS) to Sealing Devices Learning Academy.

  • Research external training for topics related to Sales department and regulatory compliance.

  • Convert current PowerPoint presentations used in training to new templates.

  • Use Canva (or similar software) to improve course appearance and learner engagement.

  • Provides entry-level professional services, under supervision of Sealing Devices team, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the sales & marketing departments.

  • Undertakes and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of Sealing Devices.

  • Interacts directly with colleagues, and/or other internal or external customers for the completion of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.

  • Receives guidance, training, and mentoring from Sales and/or Marketing teams in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Report problems to applicable Manager.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with LMS platforms is a plus.

  • Interest in corporate training, instructional design, or workforce development.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
